Jassar Construction LLC is a Ferndale general contractor run by a builder who started out framing and never got out of the habit of showing up.
The Short Version
It started with framing.
Gurpreet Jassar began framing houses in British Columbia in 2000. Seven years on framing crews, in the rain, learning the part of a house nobody ever sees once the drywall goes up.
Then he built his first house from the ground up, and has been building ever since — eventually bringing the trade south across the border to Whatcom County, where Jassar Construction LLC works today out of Ferndale.
Twenty-five years in, the thing that has not changed is the order of priorities. Structure first. Weather envelope second. Everything you can see comes after those two are right.
Anybody can make a room look good for the walkthrough. The question is what it looks like in ten years.

We look behind the wall first
On a renovation, the cosmetic scope is the easy part. We find out what the structure, wiring and moisture situation actually is before anybody talks about finishes — and we show you what we find.
The estimate is in writing, itemised
Phase by phase, with allowances clearly labelled as allowances. If a number is going to depend on what we uncover, you hear that at the estimate, not in an invoice.
You deal with the builder
We run a small number of jobs at a time deliberately. The person who quoted your project is the person on site and the person who answers the phone.
Licensed, bonded and insured
Registered as a general contractor in Washington State, with bond and liability insurance in place on every job. Ask us for the numbers and we will give them to you.

Ferndale, Whatcom County.
Our office is on Viewpoint Way and our work is within about half an hour of it — Ferndale, Bellingham, Lynden, Blaine, Birch Bay, Everson and the county in between.
