We are glad to give you our registration number so you can look us up on the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries website — and you should do that with any contractor you are considering, not just us.

Yes, for projects in our service area. We come out, look at the job, and give you a written itemised estimate at no cost and with no obligation.

By phase, itemised. Where we can give a fixed price we do. Where the true cost depends on your selections or on what we find behind a wall, we give you a clearly labelled allowance or a range rather than a number we would have to revise later.

We stop, photograph it, and show you before it gets covered back up. You get a written price for the fix and you decide whether to do it. On older homes this happens reasonably often — rot, old wiring, water damage, unsupported framing — and how a contractor handles it tells you most of what you need to know about them.

Yes. Depending on where the property is, that means the City of Ferndale, City of Bellingham, City of Lynden, City of Blaine, or Whatcom County Planning & Development Services for unincorporated areas. We prepare the applications, arrange engineering where required, and schedule the inspections.

A bathroom is usually three to five weeks. A kitchen, four to ten depending on whether walls and plumbing move. A whole-home renovation, three to six months on site. An addition or ADU, four to eight months including design and permitting. You get phase dates in writing before we start.

Often yes for single-room work, and often no for whole-house renovations with the walls open and the systems out. We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at, because guessing wrong is miserable for everyone.

We do not lend ourselves. Most customers fund work through savings, a home equity line, or a renovation loan through their own bank or credit union. We are happy to provide the itemised estimate and scope documentation lenders ask for.

Our focus is residential — renovations, additions, ADUs and custom homes. For small commercial jobs, call and ask; we will tell you honestly if it is a good fit or not.
